Welcome to our family venture!

Enone, Amanda, & Enso moved to Floyd, VA and established Mellowspring Family Farms, LLC in 2013 focusing on heritage breed animals and the serenity of nature. We operated an agri-tourism business with yurt rentals for almost 10 years before shifting focus to more art and creation!
Family crafting and making have always been important in our family - from traveling cross-country selling art for gas money many moons ago to Enso making gifts for friends - sewing, painting, and building!
We are excited to use Tuggles Gap Wooden Toy Co. to share joy from our family to yours!

The Team

Papa Mellowspring,
Grand Toymaker

Enone is a lifelong artist, having grown up in the Pike Place Market in Seattle, WA and traveling to art shows across the PNW. While his parents were selling pen & ink and textile arts, Enone observed artists and played amongst the art.
He has been creating ever since, and started making wooden toys for friends and family over two decades ago.
After moving to Floyd, VA and establishing Mellowspring Family Farms in the Tuggles Gap area off of the Blue RIdge Parkway, Tuggles Gap Wooden Toy Co. was born.

Enso Oak, CXO
CXO - Childhood Experience Officer

Enso, our amazing Oak tree, has been the inspiration, tester, and maker for many of the toys built on our farm.
Currently in high school, he helps with concepts, building, making, and even bookkeeping for the toyshop.
May we all stay attuned to our own inner child!

Mama Mellowspring,
Toy Doc

Amanda brings her Mama energy to every aspect of the business - running schedules, workflows, and building a business based on joy.
While Amanda helps with all aspects of the toys, her creative energy is often happening in the Toy Doctor's Office, managing spreadsheets and toy regulations to ensure that we are providing quality toys for the children in your life as we were able to do for our own.

Tinkering Studio Host

April Epperly is our Tinkering Studio Host! Who could host a paint party better than a super fun Floyd County Kindergarten teacher!?! She has over 20 years of teaching experience in Virginia and Colorado school systems. We paint party with the best!
You can find Mrs. April at all of our monthly Tinkering Events - both themed events and pop-up events! She has all of the great crafty insights to make your experience fun and your item special.
